Programs

Building Impact That Lasts

Milestone Foundation implements community-driven programs designed to address the root causes of poverty, vulnerability, and inequality. Our programs provide a long-term framework for empowering children, women, youth, and vulnerable households to achieve, resilience, and self-reliance. Each program is delivered through targeted projects that respond to community needs and local priorities.

Education & Child Well-Being

This program addresses school access, child protection, nutrition, psychosocial support, and family stability—recognizing that learning cannot happen in isolation from a child’s living conditions.

Women & Youth Economic Empowerment

Here, our organization equips women and youth with practical, market-relevant vocational skills, entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, and ongoing mentorship.

Sustainable Livelihoods

Participants are supported to develop stable and adaptable livelihoods that can withstand economic and environmental shocks, especially in fragile and semi-arid regions such as Karamoja.

Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)

Lack of safe water and sanitation remains a major public health risk. Women and children are disproportionately affected, facing illness, school absenteeism, and safety risks.

Health

Milestone Foundation’s Health Program prioritizes prevention, awareness, and access—supporting community health education, and child well-being, and awareness, and linkages to essential services.

Safe & Dignified Housing

In regions in impoverished communities of Karamoja, many vulnerable households, especially elderly caregivers, women-headed families, and OVCs, live in unsafe and degrading conditions.

Shop for Impact

Milestone Foundation integrates social enterprise into its development model by promoting ethically produced goods—especially footwear—created through community-based skills initiatives.
